Chefly can turn ingredients you enter or a prompt into recipe ideas. For lunch, choose the lunch meal type or mention lunch in your prompt. Preference fields can help describe the recipe you want, but they do not confirm that a generated recipe is suitable for a health need, meets a diet, or avoids an allergen. This guide covers the parts of the flow you can review yourself: your request, the recipe details, and the cooking steps.
Start with the ingredients or meal you have in mind
Open recipe creation and enter ingredients you want to use, or describe the dish you are looking for. You can choose the lunch meal type and any available recipe preferences. The app uses those inputs to produce recipe ideas; it does not inspect your kitchen or determine which ingredients are running low.
Review the recipe before deciding
Read the recipe name, ingredient list, quantities, and instructions. Check that the ingredients are available and that the steps make sense for your kitchen. Treat preference selections as part of your request, not as a guarantee that every recipe will match them. Chefly does not verify allergy safety or provide a nutrition assessment in this workflow.
Make a shopping list and follow the steps
If you choose a recipe, add the ingredients you still need to the shopping list. During cooking, move through the recipe instructions one step at a time. Check quantities and cooking directions yourself before you begin.
Use the recipe as a starting point
Chefly provides recipe ideas from the information you enter. Review the full recipe and decide whether it works for you. If an ingredient, quantity, or instruction is unclear, check it before cooking rather than assuming it has been validated.
